ACB PRESENTS ‘SWAN LAKE’
The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (ACB) is presenting Tchaikovsky’s popular ballet “Swan Lake” at Arts Centre Melbourne. The production, choreographed by former Australian Ballet Principal Artist Christine Walsh, features 70 ACB dancers together with international guest artists. Tchaikovsky’s hauntingly beautiful full-length score is being played by the 65 musicians of the ACB Orchestra led by the renowned conductor Peter Bandy. The company annually performs full-length classical ballets at Arts Centre Melbourne. It is the only private ballet school in Australia to perform such productions on a yearly basis with its own full-scale orchestra. Established in 1991 by Walsh and Ricardo Ella, ACB has developed an excellent reputation for strong ballet training. ACB graduate students have been, or are currently, employed around the world in international ballet and dance companies.
