OUR MONTH BEGAN with a tour of the Victorian countryside with AAT Kings. We headed to the Echuca Moama area, where our day started with a traditional morning treat at the famous Heathcote bakery. After that we headed on to the township of Echuca. Visiting the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre, we learnt about the steamboats on the Murray River and their importance in Melbourne’s history. We were also given the chance to ride on a stagecoach around the centre. Next, we had a very relaxing lunch on the steamboat PS and enjoyed the peace and serenity of cruising the Murray River. The day ended enjoying a wine tasting at Morrisons Winery. n Melbourne’s concierge were also invited to visit the Emporium Shopping Centre by its Guest Experience Manager, Noah Roh. With it being Spring Racing season, “the races” were the theme for the tour, and we visited relevant stores such as men’s suit stores, ladies designer stores and hair salons among others. We finished off with dinner, treating ourselves to lobster at Gyoza Gyoza. We highly recommend visiting Emporium for all your fashion needs.

n Yarra Ranges Tourism invited the concierge to visit and experience the Yarra Valley region. Starting off the day visiting Coombe Estate—the home of Dame Nellie Melba— we then moved on to Napoleone Brewery to sample some cider. We followed this with lunch at Oakridge Wines, dessert at Levantine Hill Estate, a trip to Healesville Sanctuary, wine sampling at Tarrawarra Estate, and finished with gin tasting at Four Pillars Distillery. It was a great day exploring Melbourne’s wine region!
