There is plenty to see and do this March in Melbourne.

It’s festivals galore this month. The Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix races into town. The massive Moomba festival is also on, while the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival shines a spotlight on the city’s great restaurants and fantastic produce. Green thumbs will love the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, while fashionistas should head to the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. At the end of the month the Melbourne International Comedy Festival will have you in stitches too (page 10).

The amazing stage experience of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” comes to Melbourne this month (page 20). Featuring the incredible story of the rise of singer-songwriter Carole King, the musical includes classic hits like “The Locomotion” and “I Feel the Earth Move”. In this issue, we speak to rising star Josh Piterman, who plays Carole King’s husband and songwriting partner Gerry Goffin (page 14).

Turn to the Where Now feature (page 16) for March’s must-see exhibitions, shows and events including White Night Ballarat, “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” the musical, and the “Marimekko: Design Icon 1951 to 2018” exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery.

However you choose to spend your time here in Melbourne, we hope you have a thrilling stay!
