Italian Cucina MARTA Comes to Rushcutters Bay
Flavio Carnevale opens his dedicated cucina Romana, MARTA, in mid-september at Rushcutters Bay. From a bustling open-style kitchen come dishes with a tapered focus such as baked anchovies with sautéed curly endive, bucatini mussels tomato e pecorino, tonnarelli (thick spaghetti) cacio e pepe, abbacchio alla scottadito (lamb cutlets) and filetti di baccalà (cod fillet). The refined Romanfocus is mirrored in a new bar offering, with high-topped tables and a dedicated spritz bar-inspired drinks list geared to embody the energy and theatre of Rome’s famous drinking holes.
