Aus­tralia’s an­cient First Na­tions sto­ries light up the sails of the Syd­ney Opera House in a free daily ex­pe­ri­ence cel­e­brat­ing the rich his­tory and con­tem­po­rary vi­brancy of Aus­tralia’s First Na­tions cul­ture on Ben­ne­long Point.

Badu Gili—mean­ing ‘wa­ter light’ in the lan­guage of the tra­di­tional own­ers of Ben­ne­long Point, the Gadi­gal peo­ple—explores Aus­tralia’s an­cient sto­ries in a spec­tac­u­larly con­tem­po­rary seven-minute an­i­ma­tion, il­lu­mi­nat­ing the Opera House’s east­ern Ben­ne­long sail year-round at sun­down and 9pm each evening.
