In a nod to the grass­roots Ital­ian cui­sine the Salt Meats Cheese group is fa­mous for, their new flag­ship restau­rant, Salt Meats Cheese Syd­ney, of­fers a mod­ern take on clas­sic Ital­ian fare. The cre­ative vi­sion of Mas­simo Mele, this new restau­rant of­fers a menu in­flu­enced by the food he ate grow­ing up, cus­tomised to fit the needs of busy city clients, and brought to life by head chef James Roberts. Starters such as fried pizza and creamy bur­rata are high­lights, while all the pas­tas are house-made, and the eight va­ri­eties of pizza are cooked with a crispy, Ro­man-style crust, mak­ing them a quick, easy meal. With mouth­wa­ter­ing mains such as parme­san-crumbed pork cut­lets, de­li­cious desserts in­clud­ing a le­mon yo­ghurt semi freddo, and Tas­ma­nian and Ital­ian wines by the glass or the bot­tle, Salt Meats Cheese Syd­ney is the per­fect place to grab an on-the-go lunch or din­ner.
