Wildlife Pho­tog­ra­pher of the Year

The world-renowned Wildlife Pho­tog­ra­pher of the Year ex­hi­bi­tion (de­vel­oped and pro­duced by the Nat­u­ral His­tory Mu­seum in Lon­don), is on from 13 April at the Aus­tralian Na­tional Mar­itime Mu­seum. See 100 ex­tra­or­di­nary im­ages that cel­e­brate the di­ver­sity of the nat­u­ral world, from in­ti­mate an­i­mal por­traits to as­ton­ish­ing wild land­scapes. Launch­ing in 1965 and at­tract­ing 361 en­tries, to­day the com­pe­ti­tion re­ceives al­most 50,000 en­tries from 92 coun­tries high­light­ing its en­dur­ing ap­peal. To make the ex­hi­bi­tion ex­tra spe­cial Syd­ney vis­i­tors can also come face to face with equip­ment used by cel­e­brated Aus­tralian shark pho­tog­ra­phers Ron and Va­lerie Tay­lor and ex­pe­ri­ence the brand-new “Oceans” 3D film which runs in the mu­seum’s theatre.
