The legendary South African photographer at the MCA.
AN EXHIBITION OF work by late South African photographer David Goldblatt is on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) from 19 October. Goldblatt’s photographic work spans his six-decade career, depicting the rise, fall and legacy of Apartheid in South Africa. Featuring unseen vintage prints, as well as Goldblatt’s famous photographic series and material from his personal archive, this exhibition is a unique viewing opportunity. His photographs have an intense human focus and offer powerful reflections on the people living through decades of South African history. His work resonates with human struggles across the globe, and the brutal history of modern civilisation, including that of Australia. From 19 October, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, 140 George Street, The Rocks. 9245 2400. mca.com.au
