Great turnout for ride day

Whitsunday Times - - DRIVE -

AROUND 40 riders took to the Whitsunday Raceway track for the Whitsunday Motosports Club’s ride day on Sunday.

Riders came from right across the Whitsundays and as far as Mackay to try their skills on the raceway track.

A number of riders from Mackay came to test their bikes on the track for the first time and they all enjoyed the new challenge it offered.

More females are joining the sport in both the road bike and motard classes and all of the lay riders were impressed with the friendly atmosphere at the Whitsunday Motosports Club.

The next practice day is on Saturday, July 13 before the latest round of the club championships on Sunday, July 14.

A mini motard class will be added on the day as the club looks to involve more juniors.
