ATHLETICS

CANNONVALE State School was a hive of athletics activity last Friday when the school hosted its athletics carnival.

Students from all grades got involved in traditional track and field events including high jump, long jump and shot put.

All students raced for their houses in their respective age groups.

The house relays were a highlight of the day as students worked together and had a great time.

Another popular event was the teachers and parents versus the students relay, with the teachers showing the kids they still have plenty to offer.

The carnival fell on the last day of the school term and the overall results and age champions will be announced at an assembly on Wednesday, July 10 when school returns for term three.
