AN INCREDIBLE race from 14-year-old Whitsundays resident Lloyd Clode-Roberts helped him claim an impressive victory in the King of the Mountain footrace.

Lloyd’s time of just 32 minutes and 41 seconds for the gruelling 6.5km hilly course was incredible and saw him beat off experienced competitors, some more than double his age.

Queen of the Mountain was Lynnen Birch with a great time of 38 minutes and 42 seconds.

Juniors battled it out in a 5km race and the junior Queen of the Mountain went to Grace Booker in a time of 20 minutes 13 seconds, ahead of Kaylah Carter in 22:40.

The Junior King of the Mountain was Hamilton Island local Ryder Harvey who posted a time of 13.55, just ahead of runner-up Angus Menzies in 14:04.

NEW KING: Lloyd ClodeRoberts (pictured here at his school awards night) took out the adult category of the King of the Mountain Race on Hamilton Island on the week.
