Top sailing in twilight race
SAILORS competing in last Wednesday’s Whitsunday Sailing Club twilight race were rewarded with excellent conditions for the weekly event.
Reignition skippered by Charles Wallis, led Division 2 around the course beating Another Fiasco (Damian Suckling) across the line by 24 seconds.
On corrected time the race was won by Queensland Marine Services (John Galloway), with Twister (Kevin Fogarty) and Treasure VIII (Harold Menelaus), taking out the minor places.
Anthea (Dewi Hughes), enjoyed the strong winds and led the Division 3 fleet around the course to win on corrected time.
High Tide (Shannon Hart), sailed well to pick up se- cond place on line honours and corrected time, with Lorna Rose Too (Pete Mitchelson), taking out third place.
