Run­ners keen for in­au­gu­ral fes­ti­val in Air­lie Beach

REG­IS­TRA­TIONS are now pour­ing in for the in­au­gu­ral Air­lie Beach Run­ning Fes­ti­val to be held on July 20-21.

Any­one in­ter­ested in the event should aim to reg­is­ter soon as the early bird regis­tra­tion dis­count closes on June 30 and af­ter that date you will pay more and may not be guar­an­teed a free event sin­glet.

There is still time to train for the half marathon, ei­ther as an in­di­vid­ual or as a three per­son team (7km each).

Lo­cal busi­nesses are en­cour­aged to get in­volved in the Busi­ness Team Chal­lenge.

The 10km is al­ways a favourite, but the Fit­ness Venue 5km Fun Run is at­tract­ing a large num­ber of both lo­cals and vis­i­tors with many train­ing for their first 5km race.

Mothers are also en­cour­aged to get in­volved and en­joy a run along the Bi­cen­ten­nial Walk­way while push­ing strollers.

The free Run on Wa­ter run- ning sem­i­nar will take place on Satur­day af­ter­noon with guest speak­ers Trevor Vardy and Pat Car­roll sure to at­tract good num­bers.

All are wel­come to the sem­i­nar, you don’t have to be reg­is­tered to come along.
