WHITSUNDAY FC picked up two wins from three games at the Whitsunday Sports Park on Saturday.

The premier men were the biggest winners on the day, putting seven goals past Country United to claim a morale-boosting 7-3 win.

After a slow start to the season WFC have turned the corner in the last few matches and will be keen to string more wins together to push for a finals berth in September.

They will be hopeful of another positive result when they take on Crusaders this weekend, a team they have already beaten once this year.

The division one men battled hard in their 2-0 loss to Sarina on Saturday.

They will look to bounce back from the loss when they travel to Mackay to play Rangers this Saturday.

The women’s team continued it’s undefeated season with a stirring 3-0 win over Country United.

They have now won a perfect nine from nine games and are outright leaders of their competition.

The girls have conceded only three goals this year and are now favourites for the women’s title.

All teams are playing in Mackay at the Lions Soccer Club this Saturday starting with the division 1 men versus Rangers at 2.30pm, the women against Wanderers at 4.30pm before the premier men take on the Crusaders at 6.30pm.
