200 enjoy fire twirling night on Long Island
MORE than 200 people were treated to a stunning display of fire twirling at the Flames of Polynesia night at the Long Island Resort on Friday.
Expert fire twirler Taonga performed on the night, showcasing the skills that saw him recently named as the best fire dancer in Polynesia.
The evening also included a fast-moving, vibrant show of traditional dance from the Polynesian islands of Samoa, Hawaii, the Cook Islands and New Zealand.
About 220 people visited the island for the event and staff received plenty of positive feedback from guests.
Long Island Resort will be holding another Flames of Polynesia night on Friday, August 30, with tickets to go on sale soon.
The package includes a seafood buffet dinner, the ever-popular Flames of Polynesia show, a night of culture and live music and return transfers from Shute Harbour.
