200 en­joy fire twirling night on Long Is­land

MORE than 200 peo­ple were treated to a stun­ning dis­play of fire twirling at the Flames of Poly­ne­sia night at the Long Is­land Re­sort on Fri­day.

Ex­pert fire twirler Taonga per­formed on the night, show­cas­ing the skills that saw him re­cently named as the best fire dancer in Poly­ne­sia.

The evening also in­cluded a fast-mov­ing, vi­brant show of tra­di­tional dance from the Poly­ne­sian is­lands of Samoa, Hawaii, the Cook Is­lands and New Zealand.

About 220 peo­ple vis­ited the is­land for the event and staff re­ceived plenty of pos­i­tive feed­back from guests.

Long Is­land Re­sort will be hold­ing an­other Flames of Poly­ne­sia night on Fri­day, Au­gust 30, with tick­ets to go on sale soon.

The pack­age in­cludes a seafood buffet din­ner, the ever-pop­u­lar Flames of Poly­ne­sia show, a night of cul­ture and live mu­sic and re­turn trans­fers from Shute Har­bour.
