Be­gin­ners wel­come to come and try day

ANY­ONE who has ever wanted to try their hand at off-road rac­ing will get the chance at the Tonker Park Race­way out­side of Proser­pine this week­end.

The Whit­sun­day Sport­ing Car Club is hold­ing a come and try week­end this Satur­day and Sun­day and be­gin­ners are wel­come to come along and try their hand at the ex­cit­ing mo­tor sport.

Any­one who is se­ri­ous about get­ting side­ways in the Whit­sun­days and hav­ing some fun should come along and check out all the rac­ing ac­tion. The in­tro­duc­tory week­end kicks-off on Satur­day from 1pm at the race­way on Las­celles Road just out­side of Proser­pine and will con­tinue on Sun­day from 9am.

En­try fees are $20 for club mem­bers, $40 for non-club mem­bers per day and $10 for a thrilling pas­sen­ger ride around the track. Specta- tors can come along and check it all out for free and they are wel­come to bring their own cold drinks and food.
