Beginners welcome to come and try day
ANYONE who has ever wanted to try their hand at off-road racing will get the chance at the Tonker Park Raceway outside of Proserpine this weekend.
The Whitsunday Sporting Car Club is holding a come and try weekend this Saturday and Sunday and beginners are welcome to come along and try their hand at the exciting motor sport.
Anyone who is serious about getting sideways in the Whitsundays and having some fun should come along and check out all the racing action. The introductory weekend kicks-off on Saturday from 1pm at the raceway on Lascelles Road just outside of Proserpine and will continue on Sunday from 9am.
Entry fees are $20 for club members, $40 for non-club members per day and $10 for a thrilling passenger ride around the track. Specta- tors can come along and check it all out for free and they are welcome to bring their own cold drinks and food.
