RIDERS from as far as Rockhampton and Cairns converged on the Proserpine BMX Club to compete in the Queensland Country Championships over the weekend.

The weather was fantastic and the club’s new start gate and track were in perfect condition.

More than 150 riders took to the track and battled it out for first position and there was some tough racing and a few crashes along the way.

The club thanked all members and non-members who put in their time and effort to help make the event a success.

They also thanked their sponsors for ensuring the event ran as smoothly as possible
