Sea Eagles tame Tigers at home
A THUMPING home win over Baker’s Creek on Saturday has given the Whitsunday Sea Eagles 2013 season a much-needed boost.
The impressive 19.12.126-4.10.34 win came on the back of an improved all-round performance and an incredible second half where they booted 13 goals to the Tigers four. Four goals each to Robert Whitton and Matty Laskey and three to Corey Adamson and Ashley Wensley guided the Sea Eagles to a much-needed win, which was their first home ground win since May 18.
Anthony Ianniello, Trevor Ritchie, David Ada, Brent Gale and Lesley O'Neill were named the beston-ground by the coaching staff after the 92-point win.
Currently with a 3-6 win loss record for the season the Sea Eagles will be confident of securing win number four when they host the sixth-placed Northern Beaches Magpies at home this Saturday.
After a bye last weekend the Sea Eagles reserves will also be keen to hit the park and prove themselves against the visiting North Mackay Saints.
The reserves will kick off the day’s games at 1pm against the Saints, followed by the main game between the Sea Eagles and Magpies at 3pm.
