Dirt rid­ers im­press be­fore home race meet

MO­TOCROSS rac­ers from the Whit­sun­day Dirt Rid­ers pro­duced some great re­sults when they com­peted at the re­cent Queens­land ti­tles at Gum Val­ley.

Whit­sun­day Dirt Rid­ers pres­i­dent Kev Burgess was thrilled with the suc­cess of his rid­ers at the event.

“They all brought home some great re­sults which the club could not be prouder of,” he said.

Wil­son Nor­man fin­ished in sec­ond in the 1213yrs 85cc and team-mate Ryan Wynne was just off the podium, fin­ish­ing in fourth place in the 911yrs 85cc.

Sean Wynne fin­ished up 10th over­all in the ju­nior lites 13/14yrs and Ri­ley Nor­man was 14th in the se­nior open cat­e­gory. Carl Goss rode well and fin­ished 13th in the se­nior lites and Ge­or­gia Mur­ray also im­pressed to fin­ish 14th in the women’s di­vi­sion.

Andy McLiesh and Darcy Mould­ing also com­peted as they pre­pare for the sixth and fi­nal round of the Cen­tral Queens­land cham­pi­onships in Proser­pine this week­end.

All rid­ers are ready to race and are keen to hit the track this week­end at Dray’s Park just out­side of Proser­pine.

Com­pe­ti­tion has been close in the first five rounds and this week­end’s races will de­ter­mine who fin­ishes on top of the podium.
