Dirt riders impress before home race meet
MOTOCROSS racers from the Whitsunday Dirt Riders produced some great results when they competed at the recent Queensland titles at Gum Valley.
Whitsunday Dirt Riders president Kev Burgess was thrilled with the success of his riders at the event.
“They all brought home some great results which the club could not be prouder of,” he said.
Wilson Norman finished in second in the 1213yrs 85cc and team-mate Ryan Wynne was just off the podium, finishing in fourth place in the 911yrs 85cc.
Sean Wynne finished up 10th overall in the junior lites 13/14yrs and Riley Norman was 14th in the senior open category. Carl Goss rode well and finished 13th in the senior lites and Georgia Murray also impressed to finish 14th in the women’s division.
Andy McLiesh and Darcy Moulding also competed as they prepare for the sixth and final round of the Central Queensland championships in Proserpine this weekend.
All riders are ready to race and are keen to hit the track this weekend at Dray’s Park just outside of Proserpine.
Competition has been close in the first five rounds and this weekend’s races will determine who finishes on top of the podium.
