New faces at come and try day

Whitsunday Times - - DRIVE -

FIRST time riders took to the Tonker Park track last weekend as the Whitsunday Sporting Car Club welcomed some new faces at it’s come and try day.

Young drivers got their first taste of off-road racing, guided by current members of the club who also got some racing in.

The dirt and dust was flying as experienced competitors took to the course.

Things moved much slower for the beginners as they learned all the racing basics.

Representatives from the club welcomed the new members and look forward to seeing more fresh faces when they hold their next meet.

The club also wishes local drivers Warren and Wayne Morton the best of luck on their trip to Imbil for the International Rally of Queensland this week.
