Local wins at champs
WHITSUNDAY Dirtriders Carl Goss and brothers Ashley and Wilson Norman finished in the top three of their divisions as a host of Queensland’s best dirt bike riders hit the track at Dray’s Park for the final round of the Central Queensland Championships on the weekend.
Goss finished first in the senior pro lites, just ahead of clubmate Ashley Norman who was the runner-up for the division.
Young gun Wilson Norman also impressed, winning the 12-15years 85cc class and finishing third in the junior lites.
Whitsunday Dirt Riders president Kev Burgess was thrilled with the success of the riders.
“They all bought home some great results which the club could not be prouder of,” he said.
“Everyone was very impressed with the standard of our track and said it was the best prepared track of the championships.”
