New site and mobile app to serve community
THE much-loved My Whitsunday/Rotary phone book and online guides now have a new website and smartphone application to match.
The website mywhitsunday.com.au has retained all the features of its predecessor, including weather, events, business and residential contacts and webcams.
Coming soon to the site will be news feeds from the Whitsunday Times and a secure login area for My Whitsunday clients.
Local deals and opportunities to get the community involved will be launched before the end of the year.
From this week forward, visitors to Centro Whitsunday will find it hard to miss a reminder of the new look printed guide, website and mobile app.
A 12-metre-long sign facing the main car park entrance also highlights the role My Whitsunday plays for Rotary locally. Local business advertisements placed in the phone guide fund Rotary’s annual community raffle and other local community assistance projects.
My Whitsunday gen- eral manager, Kerrie Leech, said with the huge growth in mobile hits on the My Whitsunday website, the team at Media Whitsunday were “thrilled and privileged to have played a part in bringing the Rotary phone book further into the digital age for our community’s benefit”.
The next edition of the phone guide comes out in October with booking deadline at the end of July.
