Drifters take to local track
MADDINC drivers welcome newcomers to at Whitsunday Raceway
DRIVERS from the Mackay and District Drifters (MADDINC) took to the Whitsunday Raceway for a day of high-octane drift racing on Saturday.
Twelve cars took to the track for the drifting day with the club welcoming some new faces from Townsville and other areas across North Queensland.
MADDINC president Peter Young said it was great to see some new faces out on the track and getting involved with their club.
“There were a few newcomers on Saturday and everyone was happy to be out on the track and having some fun,” he said.
“Everyone got heaps of track time and really had a great time out there.”
The club holds regular drift days at the raceway just outside of Proserpine with supporters and newcomers always welcome to come and give drifting a try or experience the thrills as a passenger for a hot lap.
The next MADDINC drift day is on Saturday, August 24. Anyone requiring more information about the upcoming event should visit the MADDINC Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mackaydrift.
