LADIES

Ladies’ golf was cancelled last Wednesday due to wet weather however a fantastic roll up of ladies enabled the bulk of the organisation to be done prior to the Proserpine Ladies Open on Friday, August 2.

On Friday, July 5, nine ladies travelled to Collinsville to compete in their open.

Fantastic results were achieved with five trophies being won by the travelling group. Lyn Muller was the A grade nett runner up, Guus Hermans won the C grade gross, Tessa Aitken was the C grade gross runner up, Tina Badenhorst won the C grade nett and Caroline Awdry won the overall visitors nett.

The club congratulated all the winners and everyone participated, as they continue to support other clubs in the region.

With pennants and the open approaching the ladies will try and play a couple of stroke events over the next two weeks.

Marlene Gray and Alison Day will also have their trophy days in the coming weeks and Wednesday, August 7 will be the monthly medal day.
