Moun­tain bike open day open to rid­ers

MOUN­TAIN BIK­ING THE re­cently formed Whit­sun­day Moun­tain Bike Club ( WMBC) is host­ing an in­for­ma­tion day at Brandy Creek from 9am to noon this Satur­day.

Chris Labes from the WMBC said they will have test bikes and demon­stra­tions and in­vited ev­ery­one to bring their hel­met and come along for an ex­cit­ing day.

“There will be free test bikes for ev­ery­one to try out on the day and club mem­bers will be giv­ing guided rides of the Brandy Creek track to new­com­ers,” she said.

“Merida is bring­ing a fleet of bikes for a free demo-day at Brandy Creek.

“It is a fan­tas­tic op­por­tu­nity for ev­ery­one in­ter­ested in moun­tain bik­ing to come and try a va­ri­ety of dif­fer­ent styles and sizes of bikes.”

WMBC mem­bers will be there with de­tails on the club, plus how to join and what other ben­e­fits there are of join­ing their group.
