Driver deserts his car
PROSERPINE police were called to a singlevehicle traffic crash on Shute Harbour Road, Mount Julian, on Saturday, July 27 at 9pm.
Officer in charge of the Proserpine Station Sergeant Nathan Blain said the driver had decamped prior to police arrival but was located a short time later in Proserpine.
The 30-year-old Airlie Beach man was breathalysed and returned a reading of 0.189 per cent.
He was arrested and charged with driving un- der the influence of liquor and without due care and attention. He will appear in the Proserpine Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
ABANDONED: The driver of a car involved in a single-vehicle crash on Shute Harbour Road, had left before police arrived on Saturday night.
