A bag of ice at best price

Whitsunday Times - - BUSINESS -

A NEW fresh ice vending machine is now available in Cannonvale on Shute Harbour Road at ABC Glass, opposite Home Hardware.

The Kooler Ice vending machine is a joint venture between Lindsay Campbell and ABC Glass owner Allan Connell.

Mr Campbell has operated Proserpine Auto Air for the last 18 years and introduced the first Kooler Ice machines two years ago at two convenient locations in Proserpine and Jubilee Pocket.

He said Kooler Ice was great value for money with customers getting more ice for the price than anywhere in the Whitsundays.

The revolutionary machine is open 24 hours a day, offering 7kg of bagged solid cubed party ice for $4 and 15L of purified water for $4.

“The key point is that the water is triple filtered and UV treated, so it is one of the best sources of purified water in the region,” Mr Campbell said.

“Ice is made fresh onsite using purified water and constructed in solid cubes that last longer in our tropical climate.”

The state-of-the-art vending machine regularly defrosts ice that hasn’t been sold, refiltering it before making fresh ice.

The Kooler Ice machine is reliable and easy to use with a step-bystep guide on the front of the machine for firsttime users.

Customers simply put their money in, press a button and wait as the machine delivers and bags fresh ice within 30 seconds.

Mr Campbell said zip ties were available from the dispenser on the machine, otherwise customers could simply load the bag straight into their own esky.

The machine accepts $5, $10 and $20 notes and all coins except five cent pieces.

Mr Campbell invites local residents to experience the difference of solid, cubed ice now available in one convenient location in Cannonvale, 24 hours a day.
