Fantastic day planned
THIS Saturday’s game between the Mackay Cutters and Norths Devils at the Whitsunday Sports Park is shaping up as a great day out for families and league lovers in the region.
While diehard rugby league fans can come along and see a host of former and future NRL players running out for each team, there will also be plenty on offer for families with children.
Event organiser Justin Butler said the event would cater for everyone and encouraged the community to come along to the sports park to support their local Intrust Super Cup team.
“One end of the field near the skate park will be a dry zone, with a jumping castle and a family grandstand. To help feed the family the main clubhouse will be selling soft drinks and food, with fresh steak and sausage sandwiches available all day,” he said.
“The opposite end will have two licensed bars, grandstand seating and liquor consumption areas and this is a strictly over-18s area.
