Auskick super clinic on Saturday
A SUPER clinic for Auskick players in the Whitsundays will take place at the Whitsunday Sports Park this Saturday, August 3.
The 2013 super clinic and break-up will take place at the sports park at 1.30pm as they celebrate the end of a great season.
This year’s program was a great success with more than 110 kids joining in the skills and modified AFL games on Friday nights.
Whitsunday Sea Eagles representative Jamie Fuhrmann said the program has been an excellent development tool in the last few years, and past Auskick kids are playing in the junior teams.
“The under-13s this year are proving to be a good team, with the majority of them having learnt the game at Auskick in the past two years.
“One of the first Auskick kids, Cory Adamson is now playing senior football with the Sea Eagles,” he said.
“It will be interesting to see how many of the current group go on to play senior football in the future,” he said.
This Saturday the clinic will be run in between the reserves and senior Sea Eagles games, which are also helping to celebrate the 20 year reunion of the Bloods 1993 grand final teams.
Everyone is invited to come along, support the local Aussie rules comp and see the future stars of the Whitsunday AFL receive their participation certificates and trophies.
