Community spirit

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

I was recently involved in a motor vehicle accident at Mount Marlow in which I was seriously injured.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt and sincere thanks to all those who were involved with attending the scene and taking care of me afterwards.

I would particularly like to thank the Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel who attended the scene and worked to free me from the wreckage and attend to my injuries.

These services don't get nearly enough recognition for the wonderful work they do for the community.

I would also like to thank the people who were first on the scene and who helped and stayed with me while I waited to be freed.

I would also really like to say a big thank you to my family and friends for their help and support during my recovery and to all those people who have expressed their concern and passed on their best wishes.

It is at times like these you really get to appreciate the wonderful spirit of the local community. Thank you. Bernard Woods WHITSUNDAYS
