Elders Real Estate rebranded as the Professionals Whitsundays

Whitsunday Times - - BETTER BUSINESS -

INCREASED residential options in Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and Jubilee Pocket will be the next major growth area for the new look Professionals Whitsundays real estate in Main Street, Proserpine.

Previously operating as Elders Real Estate for the past 16 years, the business was rebranded under the umbrella of the Professionals, officially opening its doors on Thursday last week.

Professionals Whitsundays principal Michael Kavanagh said the decision was about branching out and moving the business forward.

“The Professionals group has a great presence Australia-wide and we thought the change would be a proactive way of enhancing our market while creating more residential opportunities for the local community,” he said.

“We are looking to grow our base market in Proserpine and focus on increasing activity in the Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and Jubilee Pocket area.”

Mr Kavanagh has owned and operat- ed the business for the past 18 years, and used the overhaul as an opportunity to refurbish the business to reflect the new branding.

“Like most things I think it will take a while for the community to digest but the feedback has been great so far,” he said.

Mr Kavanagh said the business already had a healthy rental portfolio but was looking forward to getting more exposure in property sales in the Whitsunday region.

“The rental market suffered a downturn at the end of last year as a result of job lay-offs in mining industry but what we are noticing now is that a lot of those vacancies are starting to disappear,” he said.

“This means there are a lot more people wanting to move into the Whitsunday region which is really positive.”

The Professionals Whitsundays is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and from 9am to midday on Saturday.

NEW LOOK: Professionals Whitsundays principal Michael Kavanagh, receptionist Jasmine Taylor, property manager Annette Stripikis, property management specalist Kim Kavanagh, administration officer Mary Kavanagh and property management specialist Alice Faust were excited to open the doors of the rebranded real estate in Proserpine last week.
