Music with an Indian twist at Shute Harbour
CONTEMPORARY soul folk act Swoon will be on the menu at the Shute Harbour Cafe and Bar on Saturday, August 24.
The dynamic act is made up of lead vocalist Angela Smith and musician Josh Notting who write and perform a range of material from high energy soul to tender ballads, humorous ditties and their own brand of blues-based acoustic rock.
Notting plays guitar, bass and drums with some effects and loops, sings backup vocals and plays the stomp box and didjeribone.
He provides the driving rhythms, wailing solos and catchy guitar accompaniment that Ms Smith lays her strong beautiful voice over.
Influenced by acts like the Waifs, Led Zeppelin and Melissa Etheridge, Swoon’s music is joyous, unpretentious and refreshing.
The set menu on the evening will be courtesy of a special guest chef who has turned their attention to the beautiful aromas of India to create a delicious feast.
Meals will be complimented by an equally impressive range of Australian wines produced by award winning wine makers.
Shute Harbour Cafe and Bar owner Rob Turner said special dietary requirements can be met upon request.
He said a free pick-up and drop off service will be available for anyone who makes a booking before Sunday, August 18.
Limited tickets are available so early bookings are encouraged.
Professional musician and entertainer Matt D will also be performing live at Shute Harbour Cafe and Bar’s weekly Sunday sessions this weekend.
