HAYMAN Island will soon have a new desalination plant providing high quality water to the resort.

Hayman’s owners Mulpha Australia have commissioned global company IDE Technologies to provide an ecofriendly and compact product, which features a patented reverse osmosis system for reduced energy consump- tion and stable performance.

Mulpha Australia’s director of group asset development and projects Greg Timar said as a result of its ‘plug and play’ abilities, the plant should be up and running in a relatively short time.

IDE will operate and maintain the desalination plant at Hayman for 10 years.
