Get­ting ready for Air­lie triathlon

WITH only 10 days to go un­til the 2013 Air­lie Beach triathlon teams from across the Whit­sun­days are get­ting ready to run on Au­gust, Septem­ber 1.

Para­medic Ian Rad­ford and his fel­low am­bu­lance of­fi­cers are be­ing joined by the Whit­sun­day firies as they run in the triathlon to raise funds for Lo­gan’s Ad­ven­ture Play­ground.

“We know what an up­hill bat­tle fundrais­ing can be and this is a great way to help out a com­mu­nity pro­ject that will ben­e­fit all fam­i­lies,” he said.

Race or­gan­iser Stephen Jack­son said a splash and dash prac­tice event will be held at the Cannonvale State School this Fri­day from 3.30pm.
