No an­nounce­ment yet about Hay­man sale

AN AN­NOUNCE­MENT is ex­pected next week re­gard­ing the pos­si­ble sale of Hay­man Is­land.

Hay­man is cur­rently owned by Mul­pha Aus­tralia Ltd.

Mul­pha ac­quires, de­vel­ops and man­ages a range of prop­erty and life­style in­vest­ments in­clud­ing ho­tels, a ho­tel school, in­te­grated res­i­den­tial and com­mer­cial de­velop- ments, a car park and a win­ery and vine­yard op­er­a­tion. Among the port­fo­lio of the com­pany is Sanc­tu­ary Cove on the Gold Coast, the Salzburg Apart­ments in the NSW Snowy Moun­tains and the Ho­tel School in Syd­ney.

How­ever, there have been ru­mours and national me­dia re­ports this week that it has been sold to bil­lion­aire South African Sol Kerzner, who runs the lux­ury ho­tel chain, One&Only.

A spokesper­son for Hay­man would not comment on the spec­u­la­tion but an an­nounce­ment is ex­pected some­time next week.

It is ru­moured Mr Kerzner will close the lux­ury re­sort early next year for ren­o­va­tions.

POS­SI­BLE SALE: Hay­man Is­land is be­lieved to be have been sold to South African bil­lion­aire and hote­lier Sol Krezner.
