Cham­ber plans hol­i­day pro­gram

THE newly formed Air­lie Beach Cham­ber of Com­merce is busy fi­nal­is­ing plans for a two-week school hol­i­day pro­gram which will of­fer daily ac­tiv­i­ties at low or no cost to lo­cals and vis­i­tors.

The ini­tia­tive will run from Mon­day, Septem­ber 23- Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 6 and will in­clude many ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing a guided 10,000 steps walk, aer­o­bics on the beach, kids art classes, lilo races, mu­sic by buskers, tug of war chal­lenges, bare­foot bowls, ta­ble ten­nis chal­lenges, face paint­ing, cup­cake dec­o­rat­ing, cook­ing and cock­tail lessons, walk­way chalk art, teenage dis­cos, kite mak­ing lessons, and a daily kids club.

Printed hol­i­day pro­grams are ex­pected to be fi­nalised this week and will be dis­trib­uted to ac­com­mo­da­tion houses, travel agents and lo­cal schools prior to the hol­i­days.

Lo­cal fam­i­lies are also en­cour­aged to join in the fun.

Vol­un­teers are still needed to as­sist with the run­ning of some ac­tiv­i­ties and in­ter­ested lo­cals are asked to con­tact ABCC vice pres­i­dent Heidi Ward on 0407 740 673 if they are will­ing to help.
