Air­lie’s tal­ent on show

YOUNG elec­tric ukulele player Jake Ma­son stole the show at Banjo’s on Satur­day when he won the Air­lie’s Got Tal­ent com­pe­ti­tion.

Judge Jacquie Kerr said he was a very pop­u­lar win­ner.

“There was some awe­some tal­ent out there and it was re­ally hard to pick,” she said.

“All of the com­peti­tors were fan­tas­tic and the scores were very close be­tween the top three and the rest of the field.”

Luke An­drews was sec­ond af­ter im­press­ing with his singing and gui­tar skills and 13-year-old mu­si­cian Lisa Grif­fin came third.

Brit­tney Greg­son took out the peo­ple’s choice awards.

Banjo’s man­ager El­lie Gould­ing was thrilled with the re­sponse to the event which drew big crowds for both heats and the fi­nal on Satur­day. “It was an amaz­ing day. Ev­ery­one had so much fun and there were lots of fam­i­lies and young kids en­joy­ing the acts and get­ting in­volved,” she said.

The sup­port was great at all the heats and the fi­nal and we will def­i­nitely be hold­ing it again next year.”

GREAT RE­SULT: Lisa Grif­fin was happy to walk away with third place at the Air­lie's Got Tal­ent event on Satur­day.

The Air­lie's Got Tal­ent Peo­ple's Choice win­ner went to Brit­tany Greg­son on Satur­day.

HOT TAL­ENT: Jake Ma­son came first at the Air­lie's Got Tal­ent fi­nals at Banjo's Bar and Bistro on Satur­day.

GREAT SOUND: Luke An­drew came away with sec­ond place af­ter his solo ac­cous­tic per­for­mance at Banjo's Air­lie's Got Tal­ent on the week­end.
