Airlie’s talent on show
YOUNG electric ukulele player Jake Mason stole the show at Banjo’s on Saturday when he won the Airlie’s Got Talent competition.
Judge Jacquie Kerr said he was a very popular winner.
“There was some awesome talent out there and it was really hard to pick,” she said.
“All of the competitors were fantastic and the scores were very close between the top three and the rest of the field.”
Luke Andrews was second after impressing with his singing and guitar skills and 13-year-old musician Lisa Griffin came third.
Brittney Gregson took out the people’s choice awards.
Banjo’s manager Ellie Goulding was thrilled with the response to the event which drew big crowds for both heats and the final on Saturday. “It was an amazing day. Everyone had so much fun and there were lots of families and young kids enjoying the acts and getting involved,” she said.
The support was great at all the heats and the final and we will definitely be holding it again next year.”
GREAT RESULT: Lisa Griffin was happy to walk away with third place at the Airlie's Got Talent event on Saturday.
The Airlie's Got Talent People's Choice winner went to Brittany Gregson on Saturday.
HOT TALENT: Jake Mason came first at the Airlie's Got Talent finals at Banjo's Bar and Bistro on Saturday.
GREAT SOUND: Luke Andrew came away with second place after his solo accoustic performance at Banjo's Airlie's Got Talent on the weekend.
