Trivia night funds help Proserpine Nursing Home
RESIDENTS of the Proserpine Nursing Home will benefit from a $3,280.87 donation made by the Rotary Club of Proserpine at a trivia night last Friday.
Past president of the Rotary Club of Proserpine Nathan Blain presented the cheque to general manager Tom Saide who said the home would use the donation to buy a new clothes labelling machine for their residents.
More than 50 people attended the trivia night which raised about $550 to add to their donation.
The Brain's Trust took out the major prize in what was a hotly contested event.
“We want to thank Proserpine Rotary for their generosity and their support of the home over many years,” Mr Saide said.
“Rotary not only supports the home in this visible way but in the unseen gestures of kindness and support to many residents and staff."
The Rotary Club has held four trivia nights at the nursing home over the last 12 months and thanked Steph Gordon and Dylan Every at Coles Cannonvale and Von Black and Samm Kosovich at Bunnings for donating prizes.
They also thanked Fay- lene Cooke for organising the trivia nights at the nursing home and Dale Anderson for donations of prizes. The next trivia night is going to be held on Friday, November 29 at 7.30pm. To book a table call Christopher Harvey on 0429 451 517 or Faylene Cooke 0418 762 177.
