COMPETING all over North Queensland has been great preparation for riders who have been successfully showing at agricultural shows from the Ekka to Charters Towers.

A successful showing at the recent Zone 22 Gymkhana and Cannonvalley Gymkhana saw Ädeline Poid and Reigan and Bailey Evans in the champion ribbon circle.

Cathy Brannigan took out the reserve champion and Chloe Coutts trotted up to come home with ribbons.

Chloe was at her first gymkhana on a new horse and was very happy with her results. The results were a tremendous achievement from these riders with Bailey Evans taking out the age group champion award and also finishing as the high point rider of the day.

Regional riders are now preparing for upcoming gymkhanas and the 2013 North Queensland Equestrian and Newcomer Hack Show on the September, 22 at the Proserpine club grounds on the Kelsey Creek Road.
