Andrews takes out NRL tipping comp
THE NRL tipping competition has come to a close and the winner, on 129 points was Justin Andrews from Reef Cool Electrical.
Andrews, a life-long league supporter said his secret this year was tipping against his beloved Dragons and the Parramatta Eels, which saw him through to secure the winners package, that includes flights, accommodation and grand final tickets for two.
Andrews, who has been to six grand final matches in the past, is hoping for a Roosters and Rabbitohs final. “I’d love to see the Rabbitohs win, it’s been such a long time between drinks for them,” he said.
Kevin Cooper from Coops Excavation and Repairs came second in the competition on 125, followed by Mark O’Connor from Amalgamated Pest Control on 120.
Andrews said the competition had been great for business, with customers and friends tak- ing a huge interest in his progress throughout the season. “I’ve had a lot of support. NRL has a huge following in North Queensland. And I’ve had many offers from people wanting to join me at the footy.”
“Fingers crossed for the Dragons next year.”
