Whitsunday Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

CRUISE liner Pacific Dawn is set to bring more than 2000 visitors to the region next week as it stops off for the day on Monday.

Business owners and tourist operators are looking forward to the ship’s arrival which regularly brings hundreds of domestic and overseas tourists to visit Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays.

Cruise Ship Ambassadors co-ordinator Judi Dunn said businesses should expect an influx on Monday and added the next ship will arrive on October 13.

“We are receiving four in October on the 13th, 20th, 28th, 31st, and then three in November and two in December. The numbers for 2014 look good already,” she said.
