Long Island Resort joins Breakfree brand
THE Long Island Resort has joined the BreakFree brand portfolio after entering in to a marketing services agreement, effective from October 1.
It will now be known as BreakFree Long Island Resort, the 140 room property caters to families and couples and provides a superb location for weddings.
Winner of the 2010 Queensland Tourism award for best standard accommodation, the resort will become the 27th in the BreakFree network across Australia and New Zealand.
Resort owners, Ocean Hotels and Tourism, are keen to benefit from the well-known brand and distribution channels available.
Group sales and marketing manager Alex Blake said they are excited to be entering in to the agreement with Mantra Group under their BreakFree brand and believe it offers an excellent opportunity to increase their exposure in the competitive Australian accommodation market.
The agreement does not represent a change of management, with all wholesale, inbound, domestic and online contracting and trade sales, as well as existing marketing arrangements, continuing to be managed directly by the Ocean Hotels and Tourism sales and marketing team, headed by Mr Blake.
The agreement essentially provides access to the Mantra Group’s marketing channels.
Mantra Group CEO, Bob East said BreakFree Long Island Resort embodies the brands offerings.
“BreakFree prides itself on being a quality, cost-effective accommodation option for travellers in exceptional locations and Long Island is an excellent representation of this that I'm sure will be well received by our guests,” he said.
