Paul Bowman league on challenge this weekend
THE sixth annual Paul Bowman Challenge is on this weekend at the Proserpine junior rugby league grounds.
A record number of teams will be competing in the two day carnival which incorporates the Sam Faust memorial relay. Teams are travelling from as far north as Cairns, west to the Gem Fields and as far south as Brisbane to make the 40 team line up.
The under-9 carnival is hosted by the Proserpine/Whitsunday Junior Rugby League Club to honour the career of local born NRL and Queensland Player Paul Bowman.
The carnival is all about promoting the game of rugby league with the main focus on participation and fun.
The carnival is held at the junior sporting complex with gates open at 8am and has free admission on both days.
