Busy week of bowls in Airlie Beach
DUE to repairs being made to the cover the ladies and men bowlers played jointly on Tuesday.
The hot conditions proved to be a challenge for all players.
There were no winners recorded but the players enjoyed their bowls on the day.
Business House bowls will start again after the school holidays.
Social darts will continue every Wednesday night at the club.
There was a great crowd of barefoot bowlers on Friday night.
Sunday saw the cover back in use and a good roll up of players came along with the finals of the ladies B grade pairs being played.
The winners were Sandy Barrile and Henny Tattam who defeated Dale Hell and Noela Whitehead 21-13 after a very close.
Tattam played a great game which tipped the scales to the winning team beating the pros.
The AGM will be on Sunday, September 29 and all members are asked to attend at 10.30am.
The ladies district fours carnival will be held on October 1.
All ladies are asked to take part and form a team.
The Whitsunday Cruise Carnival is on again on November 9 with Cruise Whitsunday sponsoring the day.
