Busy week of bowls in Air­lie Beach

AIR­LIE BOWLS

DUE to repairs be­ing made to the cover the ladies and men bowlers played jointly on Tues­day.

The hot con­di­tions proved to be a chal­lenge for all play­ers.

There were no win­ners recorded but the play­ers en­joyed their bowls on the day.

Busi­ness House bowls will start again af­ter the school holidays.

So­cial darts will con­tinue ev­ery Wednes­day night at the club.

There was a great crowd of bare­foot bowlers on Fri­day night.

Sun­day saw the cover back in use and a good roll up of play­ers came along with the fi­nals of the ladies B grade pairs be­ing played.

The win­ners were Sandy Bar­rile and Henny Tat­tam who de­feated Dale Hell and Noela White­head 21-13 af­ter a very close.

Tat­tam played a great game which tipped the scales to the win­ning team beat­ing the pros.

The AGM will be on Sun­day, Septem­ber 29 and all mem­bers are asked to at­tend at 10.30am.

The ladies dis­trict fours car­ni­val will be held on Oc­to­ber 1.

All ladies are asked to take part and form a team.

The Whit­sun­day Cruise Car­ni­val is on again on Novem­ber 9 with Cruise Whit­sun­day spon­sor­ing the day.
