Queensland titles on this weekend
KART drivers from the Whitsunday Moto Sports Club will take on Queensland’s best this weekend as the club hosts the Queensland Karting Closed titles at the Whitsunday Raceway.
The event has received more than 100 nominations and will feature racing and qualifying from 9am on Saturday and racing from 9am on Sunday.
Karting club president Adam Stroud said doors would be open from 6am-6pm both days and there will be a licensed bar, cold drinks and hot food available as well as a jumping castle for the kids.
Entry is only a gold coin donation and it promises to be a great weekend of high-octane racing.
“We’ve got karters coming from right across Queensland, as far south as Brisbane, north to Cairns, and a good contingent from riders from out west,” he said.
“There will be drivers from all ages from the really young kids right up to the old fellas.”
Racing will take place throughout the weekend in 16 different classes and the finals and presentations will take place on Sunday afternoon.
