Lights damaged when car rolls
A 33-YEAR-OLD Cannonvale man received minor injuries when he rolled his Toyota land cruiser at the intersection of Shute Harbour Road and Paluma Road in Cannonvale last Wednesday night.
The man lost control of the car about 10.30pm, rolling across the intersection and damaging a set on traffic lights.
Cannovale residents who heard the crash ran out onto the street to help the driver from his car.
The man received first aid treatment at the scene from the Queensland Ambulance Service.
A small amount of fuel from the car had spilled onto the road and was cleaned by Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers.
The damaged traffic light was repaired on Thursday morning.
Acting officer in charge of Whitsunday Police Station, Nathan Blain, said alcohol was not a contributing factor and police were still investigating the cause of the accident.
