Holiday program proving popular
THE Airlie Beach Chamber of Commerce’s holiday program has been a hit with locals and tourists as it hosted a range of events over the school holiday break.
Chamber president Jo Sweeney said they had received plen- ty of positive feedback from their program which included a wide variety of free and discounted activities for adults and children.
“Our school holiday program was the first of many future holiday events that we plan to put on. The response has been really positive and we are meeting with council to discuss the program and how we could improve it,” she said.
“The kids disco at Mama Africa was a real hit with everyone and the kids club down by the la- goon has also been well attended.” The program continues for the rest of this week with a kids pool party with live DJ at the lagoon from 4.30pm on Friday and a free Flames of Polynesia Show at Magnums on Saturday night from 8pm .
