Hol­i­day pro­gram prov­ing pop­u­lar

THE Air­lie Beach Cham­ber of Com­merce’s hol­i­day pro­gram has been a hit with lo­cals and tourists as it hosted a range of events over the school hol­i­day break.

Cham­ber pres­i­dent Jo Sweeney said they had re­ceived plen- ty of pos­i­tive feed­back from their pro­gram which in­cluded a wide va­ri­ety of free and dis­counted ac­tiv­i­ties for adults and chil­dren.

“Our school hol­i­day pro­gram was the first of many fu­ture hol­i­day events that we plan to put on. The re­sponse has been re­ally pos­i­tive and we are meet­ing with coun­cil to dis­cuss the pro­gram and how we could im­prove it,” she said.

“The kids disco at Mama Africa was a real hit with ev­ery­one and the kids club down by the la- goon has also been well at­tended.” The pro­gram con­tin­ues for the rest of this week with a kids pool party with live DJ at the la­goon from 4.30pm on Fri­day and a free Flames of Poly­ne­sia Show at Mag­nums on Satur­day night from 8pm .
