Norther­lies at twi­light

A 10-KNOT northerly breeze blew for com­peti­tors in last Wed­nes­day’s Whit­sun­day Sail­ing Club twi­light race.

Over­drive (Ru­pert King), nar­rowly won the start from Quick­skips (Peter Mil­lar), in Di­vi­sion 1.

Quick­skips won on line hon­ours, but was over­taken by Over­drive on cor­rected time by 20 sec­onds.

Wob­bly Boot (Craig Pic­cinelli), had the best start in Di­vi­sion 2, how­ever Tulip (Bernie van’t Hof) and Storm 2 (Don Al­gie), soon took the lead. At the end of the race, Tulip was first home but taken over on cor­rected time by Storm 2, fol­lowed by Twis­ter (Kevin Fog­a­rty) and An­other Fi­asco (Damian Suck­ling), close be­hind in third.

Riff Raff (Dan White), en­joyed the af­ter­noon’s con­di­tions to win on line hon­ours and cor­rected time in Di­vi­sion 3, fol­lowed by Lorna Rose Too (Pete Mitchel­son) in se­cond and Serendip­ity (Rodger Boast), in third.
