Kids en­joy hol­i­day camp

WHIT­SUN­DAY TEN­NIS

CHIL­DREN of all ages had a great time from Mon­day-Wed­nes­day last week when they con­verged on the Can­non­vale ten­nis courts.

The group en­joyed be­ing in­volved in the school hol­i­day ten­nis camp and fol­lowed it off with a cool off in the Can­non­vale pool.

The youngest at­ten­dant four-yearold Jesse Ni­chol­son who gave the older kids a big nudge.

The club thanked club pres­i­dent Les­ley Nolan, her son David Nolan and swim­ming in­struc­tor Ray­lene Ras­mussen for their as­sis­tance.

Tues­day and Satur­day af­ter­noons were well at­tended.

The weather was hot, as was the ac­tion on the ten­nis on court.

On Tues­day evening the club wel­comed back Yoko Stim­son who gave the guys a run for their money. Thurs­day evening was gen­tle­man only and Tad Now­icki and Norm Hold played an en­thralling game of sin­gles for on­look­ers.

Coach­ing lessons and car­dio ten­nis re­sume on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 8, with ju­nior fixtures re­sum­ing on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 14.
