Lo­cal wins dou­ble pass

LUCKY Whit­sun­day Times reader Re­nie Amos was the win­ner of a three-day dou­ble pass to the Air­lie Beach Mu­sic Fes­ti­val.

Ms Amos has lived in Air­lie Beach for the past 11 years and was pre­sented with the ma­jor prize at the Whit­sun­day Times of­fice in Can­non­vale.

She said she had al­ready planned to pur­chase tick­ets to the fes­ti­val and couldn’t be­lieve her luck.

“We have 12 friends com­ing from Mackay for the fes­ti­val so it is go­ing to be a fan­tas­tic weekend and there are so many great bands,” she said.

“I am re­ally look­ing for­ward to see­ing the Hoodoo Gu­rus, Kasey Cham­bers and Phil Em­manuel the gui­tarist.”

Ms Amos said she would be giv­ing the ex­tra ticket to her hus­band Snow Amos.

The com­pe­ti­tion was run by the Whit­sun­day Times and the Mackay Daily Mer­cury.
